This Sunday sees the second Make Sundays Special event, and as it coincides with the Cycle Festival it’d be rude of us not to join in. So join us from 10.00 am at Creative Common (the big top behind Temple Meads station) for bike decorating, then get ready to roll at 12.00pm midday for the Carnivelo, the UK’s only cycle carnival.
Featuring an easy 2-mile loop of Bristol centre on marshalled and traffic free roads, it’s a fun outing for all ages (please note that children should be accompanied by an adult).
Afterwards there will be prizes for the best costumes, music and food. There’s also a free screening of the Wallace and Gromit classic “A Grand Day Out” at Creative Common, starting at 2pm.
Then at 2.00 pm at Castle Park, we’ll have the Big Bike Spectacular. Featuring the UK’s only Bicycle Wall of Death, Toddlebikes (“pre-balance” bikes for 1-2 year olds), beginner BMX racing, a cargo bike gathering, and the return of favourite games like egg and spoon and water balloon jousting, we’re going to push back the boundaries of having fun on bikes. See you there!
