We’re thrilled to announce the regional premiere of new documentary Half the Road, at the Arnolfini cinema on 8 July.
The film addresses the massive gap between men’s and women’s professional cycling. Female athletes in many sports are international superstars, but it’s a rough road for women cyclists, who face obstacles like unequal prize money, lack of grassroots support, and a scarcity of truly testing events.
With calls growing for a women’s counterpart to the Tour de France, this is a timely and powerful documentary.
The film will be introduced by Chrissie Wellington, four-time World Ironman champion.
All profits from the film will go to a selected charity, to be announced on the night. To nominate a charity tweet @bris_cycle_fest with the hashtag #charity4htr, email events@bristolcyclefestival, or post on our Facebook page.
