Help us win £5k to make Bristol Cycle Festival 2017 happen!

2016 was a quiet year for Bristol Cycle Festival, the gang who’d been running it in their spare time for the last few years were ready for a summer off. Then a peach of a job, a hillside cottage and the promise of amazing rides from their door lured two thirds of the team, off and away to relocate to the Yorkshire Dales.

To ensure the Bristol Cycle Festival lives on and becomes bigger and better, a few of us gathered together to hatch a plan to bring the festival back to Bristol in a bigger way. We’ve been quietly scouting out funding pots so we can make it happen in 2017.

The exciting news is that we’ve been selected to win a up to £5k Community Grant, nothing is guaranteed but with your help we might just get our mitts on the cash…

You just need to get a free coin token when you buy something and pop it in the Bristol Cycle Festival collection box. You know the ones, perspex boxes by the door. There’s no minimum spend so whether it’s a choccy bar, bottle of booze, lunch for a work day or your weekly shop – it all counts.

Tesco Coin

So if you happen to find yourself in Tesco’s, please do remember us and pop a plastic coin in the box.

(But if you don’t shop there, that’s ok too! No need to make special trips or change where you buy your stuff)

Wondering where the cash comes from? Its from the 5p bag charge, which they are using to support local community groups who develop and increase the use of open spaces. As riding a bike is generally in the great out doors and Bristol Cycle Festival is all about getting more people out & about on their 2 wheels – we applied, kept our fingers crossed and voiila today we went into stores for you guys to vote!

Lets see if we can make

Bristol Cycle Festival 2017 happen!
